Already possessing a formidable forward pack of Isaac Liu, Boyd Cordner, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Dylan Napa, and hooker Jake Friend, the Roosters recruited the proven talent of Cooper Cronk and James Tedesco to add to a dangerous backline that included young gun Latrell Mitchell, Luke Keary and Blake Ferguson. Despite a slow start to the 2018 season, the Roosters quickly found midseason form to ascend to the top of the ladder.
