Preserving Britains most valued places for everyone, forever, sounds like an impossible task, yet The National Trust has been doing just that for more than 100 years, with incredible success. Responsible for more than 250,000 hectares of the most important landscapes in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, The National Trust welcomes more than 100 million visitors every year.

This exquisite aerial journey gives you a unique view of more than 40 of the landscapes, buildings and parks, which draw visitors from all over the globe. Stunning aerial photography, from Skyworks advanced high definition camera, offers rarely-seen perspectives of the famous buildings and dramatic locations that The National Trust, one of the worlds largest charitable organisations, is dedicated to preserving.

As we travel Britain marvelling at the awe-inspiring countryside and history-defining structures, narrator Richard Mervyn details the story of each highlighted property, as well as its relationship with the Trust.

The journey begins with the start of The National Trust itself, then examines the landscapes, archaeological sites, castles, villages, parks and gardens, houses and coastline it has vowed to preserve.

We travel from the Mendips and Lake District, past the epic stone circle at Avebury and Roman majesty of Hadrians Wall and on to St Michaels Mount and Corfe Castle, Lacock village, a location for the Harry Potter films, the stunning gardens of Lancelot Capability Brown and historic great houses such as Little Moreton hall and Waddesdon Manor are next on our itinerary. We conclude out tour of Britains Treasures with the mile after mile of coastline The National Trust manages, including The Seven sisters and Giants Causeway.

The National Trust strives to put people in touch with the nature and heritage of Northern Ireland, Wales and England the inspiring views in this DVD celebrate that work and the properties, which are preserved now and for future generations.
