Newborns need between 16 to 18 hours in every 24 hours. Generally having 1.5 to 3 hour sleep cycles.
By 3 months, the baby will develop a day-night sleep pattern sleeping 15 hours in every 24 hours and 10-11 hours at night. 4-4.5 hours during the day.
Between 3-6 months, your baby should be sleeping around 15 hours in every 24 hours. 3 naps during the day and 1-2 feeds overnight.
6-12 months, the baby will sleep around 14 hours in 24 hours and will move to 2 naps during the day, totalling 3-3.5 hours.
