Safe and convenient Contactless Drive up is now available at selected BIG W stores. It’s free and there is no minimum order.

To pick up your order using our contactless Drive up service, please follow these simple steps:

  1. When placing your online order, be sure to select Pick up as your delivery method. When you get to the payment page, select Drive Up as your Pick up option. The location of the external Drive up collection zone will be sent to you by email once your order is ready to collect.
  2. Choose the day and time that suits you to collect your order. Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email.
  3. LET US KNOW YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY: Once your order is ready to collect, an SMS and email will be sent to you. In that message there will be a link “I’m on my way”, please click on this when you’re on your way. The email also contains instructions on how to find the Drive up collection zone, which differs by store.
  4. LET US KNOW YOU HAVE ARRIVED: When you arrive, please click on the link on your SMS or email to tell us "I'm here" and a team member will be notified of your arrival.
  5. PLEASE NOTE: When you arrive at your Drive up collection zone, you will need to safely exit your car, ring the bell and Pick up your order from a BIG W team member.

The external collection zone varies by store, but is generally located at the back or side door of the store.

Please note, for safety reasons:

  • BIG W team members are not permitted to leave the collection zone and will not be able to assist you in carrying your items to your vehicle. You’ll need to be able to carry your items to your own vehicle, so please ensure that you have extra people with you to help carry any heavy items.
  • When you arrive at the collection zone, ensure that you remain in your vehicle if there are any trucks in the loading bay, only exit your vehicle once it is safe.
  • If you’re running late and there is someone in front of you or there is a queue of vehicles, please wait inside your car until it is safe to exit.

Social Distancing Reminder

We have implemented social distancing practices for Drive up orders to allow you to collect your parcel without the need to sign. A team member will complete a contactless verification of your collection code and photo ID. Your name will be recorded on your behalf.

Special note for Queen Victoria and South Yarra stores:

For our Queen Victoria and South Yarra stores in Melbourne, the Pick up service will only be available through the front of the store.

Front of Store Pick up: More information on how to collect your items will be emailed to you when your order is confirmed as ready for collection. The email will contain specific instructions on where to go to collect your items for your nominated store.

No it is not, the difference with BIG W’s service is you have to safely exit your car, tap “I’m here” on the link provided when you arrive at the collection point and collect your order.

You will get to choose a time slot that suits you when you place your order and we recommend that you Pick up your order within 30 minutes of the agreed time. Otherwise you may experience high levels of traffic and queues at the external collection zone. If you’re running late and there is someone in front of you or there is a queue of vehicles, please wait inside your car until it is safe to exit.

If you change your mind and want to collect your order from the store, you will need to advise the team member that you are collecting a Drive up order. Note, if you are in Melbourne and your BIG W is temporarily closed, you will still be able to collect your order from the front of the store; for all other stores, collection will be from the Service Desk.

If you miss your allocated Drive up collection time, please contact your store to arrange a new collection time. Alternatively, you can collect your order from the store - you will need to advise the team member that you are collecting a Drive up order. Note, if you are in Melbourne and your BIG W is temporarily closed, you will still be able to collect your order from the front of the store; for all other stores, collection will be from the Service Desk.
