For $11.90 per order, this option allows you to have your order express delivered by our delivery partners within 2 business days from the date of your order to metro areas. If a postcode and item are eligible, this delivery option will be made available at checkout.

To protect the health of your household and our delivery partners, 2 Day Delivery orders will be recorded as delivered on your behalf by the delivery partner. If the delivery address is unattended the parcel will be taken to the nearest post office for collection. If the delivery address is to an Australia Post parcel locker or PO Box, you authorise Australia Post to sign on your behalf.

Exclusions apply. If any excluded product categories are added to the order, then the related delivery charges and standard delivery time frames will apply. Our delivery charges and delivery time frames for these other orders can be found here.

Bulky or Fragile Items

For bulky orders, orders containing large items or items that could break in transit, the cost of delivery will be displayed in your shopping cart.

Lithium Batteries

Products containing lithium batteries such as certain mobile phones.

Aerosols

Aerosol products such as hair sprays and spray deodorants.

Pre-order products

Products that are on pre-order.

For bulky orders or orders containing large or fragile items we charge a delivery fee based on the delivery destination and your items. The cost of delivery will be displayed in your shopping cart once a delivery address has been entered.

Same Day & 2 Day Delivery will not be available on Bulky and Fragile items.

Pre-ordered items are delivered in accordance with the advertised delivery time frames.

If your order contains both ‘pre-order’ and ‘non-pre order’ items the items which are not subject to a ’pre-order’ will be picked, packed and sent separately. Separate delivery fees may be charged for each delivery.

At the checkout, you may grant the carrier authority to leave some goods at the delivery address even if unattended (2 Day Delivery which requires a signature on delivery). However, please note that neither BIG W nor the carrier will be liable for loss or theft of the goods and the goods will be left at your risk. In addition, the carrier retains the discretion not to leave the goods unattended, including where the carrier deems it to be unsafe to do so.

Should an order be unable to be delivered to or left at the delivery address, a re-delivery fee of $25 may apply.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email providing you with a tracking number and link to our delivery partner. Please note that our carrier companies’ delivery policies also apply and that some orders cannot be shipped to selected areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Although it will take between 2 - 3 business days to pack and ship your order, our delivery partners are experiencing some delays due to high volumes. This means that your parcel may take longer to reach you. You will still receive a notification from BIG W on the status of your order although some delivery partners have reduced the amount of tracking updates to speed up the process. So even if you don’t receive as many updates, rest assured your parcel is on its way.

To minimise risk, our delivery partners have made the decision to suspend the requirement of a signature on delivery. Instead, the staff member will record your name and sign on your behalf.
