We are taking precautions to protect Customers and Staff

At BIG W, we are focussed on making the necessary changes to ensure you can continue to safely buy the essentials you and your family need. These are challenging times, and we are adhering to Government advice to ensure the highest level of health and safety for our customers and team.

As part of the Woolworths Group, BIG W are now strongly encouraging all customers, team members and visitors to wear face coverings when visiting any of our stores in located in areas flagged as having community transmission by your local government. We will continue to follow any mandatory requirements set out by the government.

When you choose to shop with us in store, please be advised of some additional changes we have put in place across our store network:

  • Hospital grade cleaning materials are being used routinely across our stores with extra proactive cleaning for stores located in areas of community transmission.

  • Hand sanitisers, as well as combined cleaning and disinfectant wipes, are available for team members and customers to use.

  • Fitting rooms are fitted with hand sanitiser for the safety of our teams and customers.

  • Plexiglass screens are installed at checkouts and service areas where social distancing can not be maintained.

  • Cashless ‘tap and go’ payments are encouraged.

  • Use your trolley and floor markings as a guide at checkouts or at the Service Desk to help maintain a safe distance from others.

  • Customer numbers in store will be limited, and during busy periods store teams will adhere to a ‘one in, and one out’ system.

We have been notified that a person who visited Craigieburn Central Shopping Centre at the following times has received a positive Coronavirus diagnosis: 

Sunday 23rd May 2021 between 10:00am and 1:30pm;
Wednesday 26th May 2021 between 9:00am and 11:45am;
Wednesday 26th May 2021 between 7:00pm and 9:05pm.

If you were in Craigieburn Shopping Centre at this time you are required to get tested urgently and isolate until you have a negative result.

We are notifying customers and contacting our team members. We will continue to act in line with advice from the health authorities.

Anyone who has been at BIG W Craigieburn since Thursday 20th May 2021 and becomes unwell in the next two weeks should contact the National Coronavirus Information Line on 1800 020 080 and get tested.

We’re notifying customers and contacting our team members. We will continue to act in line with advice from the health authorities.

  • One customer visited Westfield Northlakes on Friday 19th March between 11:20am and 11:50am, and another customer visited the same centre on Thursday 25th March between 2pm - 3pm.
  • We became aware of these cases on Wednesday 31st March 2021. We placed a customer notification up in store.

Westfield Northlakes customers were made aware as soon as we had a confirmed case in store.

  • We became aware of the case on Sunday 10th January 2021. We placed a customer notification up in multiple parts of the store.

Our Bankstown customers were made aware as soon as we had a confirmed case in store.
