Shop safely with us
Our team will ensure COVID safe hygiene measures are in place at all times, and that social distancing is maintained throughout our stores:
- Daily cleaning and disinfecting with hospital grade product is in place in our stores;
- QR code check-in to support contact tracing;
- The number of customers in store at any time will be kept at a safe capacity and entry to the store, if store capacity is reached a 1 in, 1 out rule will apply;
- Sanitiser stations are at the front of all stores and in service areas. Trolley wipes are available to wipe down your trolley;
- COVID Marshals are in store to maintain COVID safe measures;
- To keep our community safe, we will be following Government guidelines on face maks requirements in stores;
- Team members are instructed not to come to work if they are unwell, or have been around someone who is unwell;
- Plexiglass screens are in place at our checkouts and service desks, and 1.5-metre social distancing guides are located throughout the stores.

5 August 2021 - Regional NSW Lockdown
For a select number of stores in Greater Sydney and the Newcastle / Hunter Valley region (see below), we are permitted by the NSW Government to safely open for essential items only from Thursday 5th August.

FACE MASKS
The NSW Government has announced from 12.01am, Friday 25th of February that masks will no longer be mandatory in most indoor settings, which includes BIG W Stores.
Wearing a face mask is a simple and practical way to minimise the transmission of the virus, and we strongly encourage customers to keep a mask with you to use when you are unable to maintain social distance.
QR CODES
In line with State Government guidelines, team members and customers are no longer required to check in using QR codes when visiting our BIG W stores in NSW.
