BIG W Vision’s everyday lenses are a superior quality lens as compared to the industry standard plastic lenses. Our everyday lenses come standard with in-built ultraviolet protection and are made from a thinner, lighter and stronger lens material giving excellent optical quality and vision.

Lens upgrades including high index lenses, anti-reflective coatings and photo-sensitive lenses are also available.

Lens material options

Everyday lenses - Come with in-built ultraviolet protection and are made from a thinner, lighter and stronger lens material as compared to industry standard CR39 plastic lenses.

High index lenses – Are made from a denser optical material making the lenses even thinner for people with higher prescriptions.

Lens feature options

Polarised sunglasses – Polarisation refers to how a lens filters out reflected light. Polarised sunglasses significantly reduce glare and are ideally suited for situations such as driving, snow skiing, fishing, boating and other water based activities.

Anti-reflective coating – An A-R coating is designed to block unwanted reflected light, this improves the cosmetic appearance of your glasses by making your lenses look clearer. A-R coatings also improve your vision by reducing the star and halo reflections that typically occur at night around bright lights like car headlights.

Photo sensitive lenses – These lenses change from a clear lens to a sunglass tint depending on the amount of ultraviolet light they are exposed to. Photo sensitive lenses offer the convenience of having 1 pair of glasses that can be worn both indoors and outdoors.
