How to redeem

  1. Start shopping and add eligible items to your cart to the value of $50 or more.
  2. Once you have finished selecting your items, click 'Proceed to Checkout'.
  3. Enter your delivery and billing address details, and click 'Proceed to Payment'. Your free delivery offer will be automatically applied to your order.
  4. Enter your payment details to complete your purchase.
Free delivery exclusions
Big and bulky products are excluded from the free delivery offer. A small number of items that ship to you direct from our suppliers are also excluded. These items are clearly marked with the text "Item ships directly from vendor" next to where each product's price is displayed.

 

Delivery charges

At bigw.com.au, we work hard to offer you the fastest delivery service possible at everyday low prices. Delivery costs are determined based your order's size, weight and the delivery address.

An estimate of delivery costs from our Sydney warehouse by product size and geographical region are shown in the table below. To calculate the exact delivery cost for your order, enter your postcode in your cart summary or on any product page and click ‘GO’.

How do I know what size my item is?

To find out the size of any item, click on the ‘Specification’ tab on any product page. Item size will be displayed in the ‘Delivery Type’ field. Below are a few examples.

 

Delivery timeframes

Most orders are despatched from our Sydney warehouse and delivered by Australia Post. Standard delivery times through Australia Post's regular service apply. Deliveries occur between 8AM and 5PM Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Estimated delivery timeframes by postcode are shown below. Please note that delivery times vary based on the size of items in your order and the delivery method used.

To obtain a more precise estimate of delivery times, click the 'view cart' link in the top right corner of every page, enter the delivery postcode and click 'GO'. The estimated delivery cost for your order will be displayed.

 

Items delivered directly to you by our suppliers

Some of our products are delivered to you directly from our suppliers. Delivery times for these items may vary from products shipped to you from our Sydney warehouse. These products are clearly marked on the website with the message "Item ships directly from vendor". Delivery costs and timeframes for these items can be obtained by entering your postcode in your cart summary or on any product page and clicking ‘GO’.

 

Order tracking

Registered customers can view details of the status of all current and past orders by clicking the ‘Track my orders’ link in My Account. All customers can track order status via the link included on the order confirmation page and in the order confirmation email.

Once your order has been despatched from our Sydney warehouse, you will be sent a notification email advising of the estimated delivery date of your order. For most deliveries, this email will also include a link to allow you to track the progress of your delivery while it is in transit. A ‘track’ button will also be made visible in the ‘Track my orders’ section in My Account.

To keep delivery prices as low as possible, small items (e.g. books, DVD & blu-ray, gift cards and video games) are sent via standard letter delivery by Australia Post. Deliveries of this type can not be tracked once they have left our warehouse. Similarly, a tracking link will not be provided for orders that are sent direct from a BIG W supplier.

 

*Delivery restrictions

Most products at bigw.com.au can be shipped to anywhere within the Australia Post network. However, there are a few restrictions:

  • BIG W does not currently ship to international addresses
  • Large, Heavy, Oversized or Special Delivery products can not be shipped to certain remote areas including Far North Queensland, Northern WA, Norfolk Island and other Australian island territories. This restriction affects only a small number of items and is the result of the complexity and prohibitive cost associated with delivering bulky products to these locations.
