In 2002, BIG W launched a national campaign called the Big Heart Campaign. Thanks to the generosity of customers and staff at our BIG W Stores around Australia and our suppliers, Big Heart has raised millions of dollars for local children’s hospitals, wards and foundations.
100% of funds raised go to children's hospitals, wards and foundations around Australia to fund facilities, equipment and medical equipment to help Australia's sickest children.
In addition to the personal donations, funds are also raised by local BIG W Stores by holding hundreds of sausage sizzles, selling thousands of raffle tickets and running numerous cake stalls, lamington drives, trivia nights, and annual fund-raising balls.
BIG W also sells various fundraising merchandise at their checkouts to support National Health Programs such as Jeans for Genes Day and National Breast Cancer day.
